Society nowadays tends to think that mental health problems are a normal aspect of ageing.Aside from
experiencing dementia, the elderly can also experience emotional and psychological stress closely related to
loneliness,isolation or loss of a loved one.But unfortunately these dilemmas are not taken into account by the
medical or health care system.These can have a negative impact on overall health of an older individual and
addressing these psychosocial problems is an integral component of senior’s complex medical care.
