The pandemic COVID 19 has put new challenges to the Ayurveda fraternity. Mild and moderate cases of COVID 19 if managed as per the principles of Ayurveda it can be best prevented and cured which is already proven all over India at the level of institute and Ayurveda centres. I thank my dear Indian citizens for keeping faith on Ayurveda during the pandemic and there is no doubt the COVID 19 has definitely lead to the 60-70 % surge in the sale of Ayurvedic medicines. Among them the top 5 selling formulas are Chayvanaprasha Leha, Ashwagandha, Tulasi, Bhumyamalaki, and Yashtimadhu. But we failed to convince the ICMR for implementing the Ayurvedic Protocol independently or integrated for COVID 19 nationally.
