Ayurvedic management of Pandu Roga with special reference to Iron Deficiency Anemia - A case study

Panduroga is mentioned as one among Rasapradoshaja Vikara with Pitta pradhanyata.In this study symptoms simillar to Iron Deficency Anemia is been selected. It is one of the most prevalent diseases in developing nations. A case study of 27 year old female patient with Pandu was selected and given Vasadi Kwatha Churna for duration of 3 months.The results of the study given a positive output of marked improvement not only on symptoms but also the overall health of patient get vitalized.Here the polyherbal formulation doesn't poses any direct iron substitute. The disease seems to be corrected with the help of improvised agni, samprapti vighatana and proper absorbtion of nutrients.
